"We urges U.S. decision-makers to respect facts of history, recognize the trend of the times, heed the visionary calls in the United States, and listen to the voice of the international community."
"We have great confidence in our path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In the meantime, we also respect the development paths chosen by other nations," he said.
To uphold world peace and promote development for all is the shared mission and responsibility for China and the United States, Yang said. "What it requires is for the two countries to view and handle their relationship in a proper manner and seek a way of peaceful co-existence despite differences."
For his part, Ambassador Qian told Xinhua that cultural exchange is vital for the countries like China and Fiji to learn from each other for common development.
Zhang said that India unilaterally changed the status quo of Kashmir through constitutional amendments in August 2019, stoking tensions in the region. A year later, there is no fundamental improvement but a risk of further escalation in the situation of Kashmir, according to the spokesperson.
