The cooperation between the two countries has never been a case of one party giving favor to the other, or one party taking advantage of the other, said Wang.

"If you talk about anything universal, you have to consider China itself has 20 percent of the global population. If you count in countries like India, African and Latin American countries, the majority of the global population is very often not included in the so-called universality (that is often referred to in this country)," he said. BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday said the Chinese side is ready to enter into candid, effective consultation with the U.S. side and make cool-headed and sensible response to the impulsive moves and anxiety of the U.S. side.
While expanding domestic demand was stressed, it would be a mistake to consider that China will retreat from the global economy. Rather, China will utilize domestic and international resources more efficiently, ensuring robust and sustainable development.
"If China-U.S. cooperation were unfair and not reciprocal, how could it have continued for several decades? How could China-U.S. ties have come such a long way?" Wang asked.
The robust economic and trade relationship has supported around 2.6 million jobs in the United States across a range of industries, and over 72,500 U.S. companies have investments or business in China.
SYDNEY, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Papua New Guinea government gave approval for 175 Chinese workers to return to the South Pacific island country to complete major projects there.
"I have been to China three times. China has a rich history and culture just as what Fiji does. Cultural exchange like today's visit will help us know better each other.
