BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- China urges the United States to stop arms sales to and military ties with Taiwan to avoid further harming China-U.S. relations and cross-Strait peace and stability, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Friday.
"The constitutions of more than 100 countries in the world stipulate that the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms must not endanger national security. The European Convention on Human Rights has similar provisions," the mission noted.

As part of that strategy, the White House has adopted a more antagonistic attitude towards China and interfered in China's domestic affairs, including Hong Kong.
Zhang said China is seriously concerned about the current situation in Kashmir and the relevant military actions. In particular, they should refrain from taking actions that will escalate tensions, according to the spokesperson.
